What are some of the best practices when using the app?

First, download the app.

Next, you must login to the app from your device

To utilize the app, you will register your device to an Employee Extension. (*You cannot register a Department Extension to the app.)



Recommended Configuration


After you register the app as an Employee Extension, configure your Department Extensions to forward to the Employee Extension. 


In the example below, you will see that extension 0 and extension 1 both forward to a 10-digit number.  


The example below is NOT the recommended configuration if you are using the app.


Our recommended configuration is to forward your Department Extensions (i.e. extension 0 and extension 1) to the Employee Extension 700.  In the example below, you will see that extension 700 is registered to the App, and capable of taking calls from extension 0 and extension 1.

Other Recommended Settings

1. We do NOT recommend using the "Call Announce" feature with any extensions when utilizing the app.  Doing so may cause calls not to route properly to the app, or display incorrect information on inbound calls.

2. When using the app, we recommend using the setting "Callers Number" in the Caller ID display field (found in SETTINGS --> NUMBERS).  This will allow you to see the callers number when taking a call on your app.

3. We do NOT recommend using the app and also forwarding to a 10-digit number within the same Employee Extension.  While some customers may find a special need to do this, it is not recommended for most configurations.
