Why am I getting charged monthly when I signed up for annual billing?

If you signed up for annual billing, you most likely received a discounted rate when you paid for the service in advance for 1-year.  However, if you added any additional numbers or features after signup, you may still incur additional charges on a monthly schedule.

Subscriptions not included in annual billing:

  • additional numbers
  • call recording
  • voicemail transcription
  • conference calling
  • texting
  • additional extensions > 3 (Office Plan only)

If you signed up for annual billing, these additional subscriptions were not included at sign-up when you paid. Unitel will charge you monthly for these additional subscriptions on your monthly anniversary date.

Example:

  • You sign up for the annual billing plan on May 15.
  • Later, you decide to add an additional number and call recording.
  • On July 25 you add an additional number and call recording.
  • On August 15, you will receive an invoice, and your credit card will be charged for the monthly cost of the additional number and call recording.
  • On September 15, you will receive an invoice, and your credit card will be charged for the monthly cost of the additional number and call recording.
  • You will receive an invoice and be charged monthly (on the 15th) for the additional number and call recording, until your annual billing plan expires on May 15 of the following year.

If you would like to prepay for these additional subscriptions for a prorated amount through the duration of your annual contract, please contact customer support.
