Allowing Permissions for the Unitel Voice Desktop Softphone (Windows & Mac)

Learn how to enable microphone, notification, and other permissions for the Unitel Voice Desktop Softphone on Windows and Mac computers.

The Unitel Voice Desktop Softphone requires certain permissions from your computer to function properly.

When you first open the app, you may be prompted to allow access to the following:

  • Microphone: Required so others can hear you during phone calls.

  • Notifications: Allows the app to alert you of incoming calls and messages.

We recommend selecting Allow when prompted to ensure the app works properly.

  4. Ensure Let desktop apps access your microphone is turned on.

  5. Return to Settings, select System → Notifications, and make sure notifications are enabled for the Unitel Voice app.
