International Calling & Receiving Calls with Unitel Voice

Learn how international calling works with Unitel Voice, including inbound calls, toll-free restrictions, local numbers, outbound calling, and call forwarding.

Unitel Voice is designed primarily for customers in the United States and Canada. While some international call scenarios are supported, there are important limitations depending on the type of number and how the call is being handled.

Phone Numbers Available

Unitel Voice currently offers:

  • USA phone numbers

  • Canadian phone numbers

International phone numbers are not available.

Can My Number Receive Calls from International Numbers?

Local Numbers

Local Unitel Voice numbers can receive calls from anywhere in the world without restriction.

Toll-Free Numbers

Toll-free numbers can only receive calls from locations within the North American dialing region, including:

  • United States

  • Canada

  • Puerto Rico

  • Guam

  • U.S. Virgin Islands

Calls from countries outside this region cannot connect to a toll-free number.

Can I Make International Calls?

Outbound calling through the Unitel Voice app or Dial-Out feature is limited to:

  • United States numbers

  • Canadian numbers

International outbound calling is not supported.

Can I Forward Calls Internationally?

Call forwarding is only supported to phone numbers located in:

  • United States

  • Canada

International forwarding destinations are not supported.

Can I Use the App While Traveling Internationally?

Yes. If you are outside the USA or Canada, you can still receive calls through the Unitel Voice app using an internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data).

Billing Requirements

All accounts must have a billing address in the United States or Canada that matches the payment method on file.
