Who owns the numbers that are assigned to me by Unitel Voice and can I port or transfer them?

Updated over 2 months ago

With Unitel Voice, you own your phone number(s)—you’re not renting them, and there’s no contract locking you in.

  • You are the valid owner of your toll-free or local number(s) as long as your account is in good standing (i.e., no outstanding balances).

  • You can transfer (port) your number to another provider anytime—with no fees and no restrictions.

Important Porting Requirements:

  • Your number must remain active until the porting process is complete.

  • Phone numbers require active service to remain assigned to you—canceling before porting may result in losing your number.

  • You can cancel your account or transfer your number to another provider anytime without penalties.
