What is a Number Tag and how are they used?

What Are Number Tags?

A Number Tag is a custom label you can assign to each of your Unitel Voice phone numbers.

Once added, the tag appears in your Inbound Call Logs and Downloaded Call Reports, making it easier to identify which number received the call.

This is especially helpful if you use multiple phone numbers for marketing, departments, or different business purposes.


Why Use Number Tags?

Number Tags help you quickly track where calls are coming from.

Examples:

  • Google Ads

  • Facebook Campaign

  • Website

  • Sales Line

  • Support Line

  • Holiday Promotion

Instead of only seeing the phone number, you'll also see the custom label you assigned.


Common Uses

Marketing Call Tracking

Use different phone numbers for different ads and tag each one to measure results.

Example:

  • Google Ads

  • Yelp Ads

  • Direct Mail

Organizing Multiple Numbers

If you have several business numbers, tags make them easier to recognize in reports.

Example:

  • Main Line

  • Recruiting


How to Add a Number Tag

  1. Go to Settings > Your Numbers

  2. Find the number you want to edit

  3. Click Edit

  4. Enter Tag in the Other Options section

  5. Click Save


Where Tags Appear

Your tags can be viewed in:

  • Inbound Calls list

  • Downloaded call reports

Use short, clear names so reports are easy to read.
