How to Set Up Your Dial-by-Name Directory
Employee Extensions are not automatically included in the Dial-by-Name Directory. To add an extension to the directory, follow these steps:
Define the Employee’s Name
When creating the Employee Extension, be sure to enter the employee’s first and last name.
Record the Extension Name
To ensure the extension name is included in the directory, you must record it.Go to the Employee Extension’s configuration settings.
Under Recorded Extension Name, click Edit.
Navigate to Recorded Extension Name, where you can either upload or record the employee’s name.
Activate the Extension in the Directory
Go to Extension 8 and activate the employee extension in the directory.
Check the box to enable the extension in the Dial-by-Name Directory.
