Using the UniTel Voice Desktop Softphone

In this article we will describe how to use the Desktop Softphone to make and receive calls.

If you have not already Downloaded and Installed the Desktop Softphone, refer to this article.

If you have not already familiarized yourself with the Desktop Softphone Navigation, refer to this article here.

Answering an inbound call:

When an inbound call is received by your Employee Extension, the Desktop Softphone will play a ringtone sound and a notification will display on your computer. You can answer the call from the Softphone App by pressing the green phone icon. Additionally, you can click the options in the notification to "Answer" or "Reject" the incoming call.

*To receive an inbound call, you must be logged into the Desktop Softphone application.

Making an outbound call:

From the Key Pad dial the 11-digit number of the person you wish to call.

In Call actions:

To Mute the call, press the mute icon.
