If your business isn’t open 24/7, an After-Hours Greeting is a great way to inform customers that your office is closed. You can also choose to take messages or route calls to your after-hours support staff.
For example, your After-Hours Greeting might say:
"Thank you for calling ABC Company. Our office is now closed. Our normal hours of operation are 9 am - 5 pm, Monday through Friday. If you'd like a team member to contact you, please press 7 to leave your name, number, and a brief message, and we’ll follow up as soon as possible."
How to Set Up an After-Hours Greeting (in 4 Simple Steps)
Navigate to the Greetings Settings
Set Your Business Hours
During these hours, your phone system will play the Main Greeting. Outside of these hours, it will play the After-Hours Greeting.
You can choose from several preset options or create a custom schedule. Click Here to learn more about custom schedules.
Upload Your Greeting
A default greeting will be provided, but you can upload your own by clicking "Add your own greeting".
You can either upload an MP3 file or record using your computer or device’s microphone.
After saving the recording, make sure to select it as the active greeting.

Set After-Greeting Options
You can choose what happens if the caller doesn’t enter a command. Options include:
Optional: If you want the After-Hours Greeting to send callers to voicemail, consider setting up a department extension specifically for voicemail and mention it in your After-Hours Greeting.
